FAQ

You have questions – we have answers.

When do you need my RSVP?

Your RSVP is your room booking through Kate’s Travel. By booking with her you’ll get the best rate and all the benefits, plus we get the guest list from her. Please book your room by June 30, 2024, with final payments to her by September 18, 2024.

I found a great hotel close by that’s cheaper – what if I stay there?

We’re asking everyone to book their room through Kate’s Travel and stay at the Riu Palace Pacifico with us, where we have a room block with a guaranteed minimum. Please help us make sure we meet that minimum! If you choose to stay off-site, we won’t be able to help with any day-rates charged by the hotel to visit.

When should I get to Puerto Vallarta, and when should I leave?

Our room block requires a 3-night minimum per room, and we’re asking everyone to be there at least the nights of Saturday and Sunday, February 1-2. Our room block is open from January 29-Feb 5, and we’ll be there from 1/29-2/4..

The invite only had my name – can I bring a +1?

Yes! When you book your room through Kate’s Travel, we’ll get the full rooming list so we’ll know how many people to expect. Another reminder that bookings are due no later than June 30, 2024.

What airport should I fly into, and how do I get to the hotel?

Puerto Vallarta International Airport ℗℗℗(PVR – Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport) is about 25 minutes from the resort. There are direct flight options from many US cities. A shuttle is provided between the airport and resort – more info on that as the date gets closer. Once we have the guest list we’ll contact Alaska Airlines to ask about a discount code.

I’m traveling alone – what should I do?

Totally cool! If you want your solo time, details are available when you book through Kate’s Travel. Coming in solo and want to bunk up with a new friend? You have options! For now, Contact Us so we can try to link people together. Please confirm your roommate before booking through Kate’s Travel.

Can I bring my kids?

Sorry friends – this one’s for mom and dad! The Riu Palace Pacifico is an 18+ Only resort.

What should I pack?

That kind of depends on how you want to spend your vacation! Sunscreen, sunglasses, and pool/beachwear are on our list. And binoculars, in case we do one-a-them whale watching trips.

What should I wear to the ceremony?

What ceremony? This is our anniversary, not wedding. Totally casual. IE, your finest Hawaiian shirt. Maybe something with a collar for dinner.

Will there be another global pandemic when we get back?

What am I, Nostradamus? But seriously… I hope not. Empty middle seats on every flight was pretty cool, tho.
